Rabbi Yanki Tauber

Rabbi Tauber is a renowned Torah scholar, writer, and editor, known for his groundbreaking translations and adaptations of classical Torah works. He is the author of twelve books and more than 1,000 essays and articles in all fields of Torah scholarship, including Biblical commentary, Talmudic dialectic, Kabbalistic esoterica, and Hasidic philosophy. From 1999 to 2013, he served as chief content editor of Chabad.org, the world’s largest Jewish educational website. His work as conceptualizer and editorial team leader of the Open Book Torah project is the culmination of more than 30 years of perfecting his unique ability to make abstract and highly complex Torah texts accessible and relevant to a general audience, without compromising their authenticity and depth.
Founder, Creative Director
Baruch graduated from RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) and began his career as a designer and typographer working with the legendary Paul Rand. As Creative Director at Ogilvy & Mather and in his own practice, Baruch has worked with national and multinational brands such as American Express, Harley-Davidson, IBM, and Kodak. He authored several books on design and typography and was elected to the prestigious Alliance Graphique Internationale. Fonts designed by Baruch are included in both Apple and Microsoft system software. Baruch has also taught at the New York School of Visual Arts. His Venecia Hebrew fonts created for the Open Book Torah project won the coveted international type design award from the New York Type Directors Club.
